Starting at $45.00 per hour , based on experience Position Overview Birch Agency is actively seeking two passionate and dedicated Special Education Setting III Teachers for school-based opportunities in Crystal, Minnesota . These positions provide the opportunity to support students with significant academic, behavioral, emotional, developmental, and functional needs within a highly supportive and structured educational environment. The Setting III program is designed to serve students who require specialized instruction, individualized interventions, and intensive support to achieve success both academically and socially. We are seeking educators who are committed to fostering meaningful student growth, implementing evidence-based instructional practices, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Work Environment Setting III Special Education program serving students with intensive educational and behavioral support needs School-based setting in the Crystal, MN area Opportunity to provide individualized, small-group, and classroom-based instruction aligned with student IEP goals Collaborative multidisciplinary team including special education staff, general education teachers, related service providers, behavior specialists, and administrators Supportive educational environment focused on academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional growth Structured classroom setting designed to foster student independence, self-regulation, self-advocacy, and success Opportunity to build strong relationships with students and families while supporting positive student outcomes Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' unique needs Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Minnesota state standards Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to support diverse learning needs Implement evidence-based interventions and positive behavior support strategies Collaborate with families, related service providers, and educational staff to ensure student success Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal and state special education regulations Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required Active Minnesota Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with students requiring intensive academic, behavioral, emotional, or functional support preferred Knowledge of IEP development, IDEA compliance, differentiated instruction, accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention strategies Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary educational teams Why Work with Birch Agency?
