Highly Qualified status required via one of the following: Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam), or At least 60 college credits with official transcripts (diplomas or degrees alone do not suffice) Strong experience or training as a Paraprofessional in early childhood or special education settings preferred Ability to provide a current, detailed resume reflecting relevant experience Excellent communication, patience, and a collaborative approach with diverse young learners Willingness to transition to a direct hire with the school district after completing 422 contract hours

Key Responsibilities:

Support children ages 2½ to 3 within a center-based educational program Collaborate with lead teachers and therapists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Assist with classroom activities, routines, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement Foster independence, social skills, and positive behaviors among students Maintain ongoing communication with staff and participate actively in team meetings
