Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement Previous classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Familiarity with adaptive technology, differentiated instruction, and positive behavior strategies Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, counselors, and fellow teachers Problem-solving mindset and flexibility in supporting students with a variety of learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans for students with special needs Deliver engaging instruction tailored to each student's strengths and challenges Assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning outcomes Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and access to curriculum Partner closely with parents and guardians, updating them on progress and strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports as required by federal, state, and local guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing training
