Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire students and make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment. We're seeking passionate professionals dedicated to providing high-quality instruction and personalized support to students with diverse learning needs. Multiple contract positions are available, and you'll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred assignment types or locations.

Key Qualifications:

Must hold a valid and active Minnesota teaching license. Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and instructional strategies for varying exceptionalities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learning styles and needs. Candidates with prior experience in the district will have records verified to ensure a successful previous placement.

What You'll Do:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students, tailoring instruction to meet specific goals. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and engagement. Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings. Support students both academically and socially, addressing behavioral interventions as appropriate.
