Job Details:
Must hold tier 3-4 licensure.
Special Education Teacher Duties & Responsibilities:
IEP development: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student to meet their specific needs.
Instructional delivery:
Provide specialized instruction, adapt general education lessons, and teach various subjects tailored to students with disabilities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Assessment:
Assess student progress and provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support their learning.
Compliance:
Ensure students are provided with a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE) possible, following all procedures and protecting student rights.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess or be eligible for a Special Education license in the state of Minnesota. Preferred licensure areas may include Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ABS).
