This contract role offers the chance to support and empower students in an inclusive, nurturing environment. As an integral part of the school community, you'll collaborate with educational staff and families to develop tailored learning experiences that promote growth and independence. Your expertise will directly impact students' academic, social, and behavioral success.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement. Experience working with students who have cognitive impairments and/or significant autism. Strong skills in creating and modifying Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Effective communication and teamwork with colleagues, families, and support staff. Compassion, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals. Differentiate teaching methods and materials to suit individual strengths and challenges. Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment. Monitor student progress, maintain data, and report on academic and behavioral outcomes. Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support services to maximize student success. Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and classroom activities.
