Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE Resource Special Education (SpEd) Teacher to serve students with special education needs at the elementary school level (grades K-5) for the 2026-2027 school year.Job Summary:
Deliver direct and indirect services to students with learning and/or social, emotional and behavioral needs; monitor and document student progress; develop/manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings; oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies.Qualifications:
Current and valid MN teaching license in ASD, EBD, DCD or ABS Prior teaching experience preferred Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction Strong classroom management skills Effective communication skills Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staffPay & Benefits Information:
