Requirements:

Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education Prior experience working in a center-based DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) classroom Ability to plan and implement differentiated instruction for students with diverse needs Strong collaboration skills for working closely with paraprofessionals Background in managing individualized education plans (IEPs) Effective communication with students, staff, and families Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere Willingness to commit to the full contract period (November through mid-February)

Key Responsibilities:

Work with a classroom team including three paraprofessionals to serve approximately ten students Implement individualized learning strategies and behavioral supports Maintain accurate records and track student progress in line with IEP goals Actively participate in classroom and school-wide meetings Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom community Communicate regularly with families to share updates and collaborate on student support Experience teaching in a center-based DCD or ASD context is essential for this rewarding opportunity.
