Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. Openings in K-12 Grade Levels About the Position We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to join a student-centered educational team in Burgaw, North Carolina. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive environment where all learners can achieve academic and personal success. Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their identified needs. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records and documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families. Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. Maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment. Utilize data-driven practices to support student growth and achievement.
Qualifications Required:
Active North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) Teaching License. Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Knowledge of
IDEA, IEP
development, and special education best practices. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting. Experience with inclusive classrooms and differentiated instruction.
