Responsibilities:

Deliver specially designed instruction and supports to students with exceptional needs in both inclusion and resource classroom settings Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs and maintain compliance with district and state standards Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure academic growth and success Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that supports the growth, independence, and confidence of each student Partner with families and educational teams to set and achieve student goals Maintain accurate records and documentation related to special education services

Qualifications:

Valid North Carolina Teaching License for Middle/High School Special Education Experience teaching in an inclusion and/or resource environment preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Passion for supporting students with diverse abilities and backgrounds This contract role is available for an immediate start and runs through June 4th, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week to ensure work-life balance and reliable scheduling.
