Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, assessments, and compliance with educational regulations and laws governing special education. Skills Extensive knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, instructional modifications, and educational compliance standards. Proven experience working with children and students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, visual impairments, or hearing impairments. Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies for students with behavioral health or behavioral challenges. Proficiency in integrating educational technology and learning tools to create engaging lesson plans that cater to varied learning styles. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, mentoring new teachers, and maintaining open parent communication channels. Expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math instruction, early childhood education, and preschool or toddler care. Ability to adapt instructional approaches based on individual student needs through personalized instruction or instructional design principles. Experience in applying therapeutic techniques like speech therapy or behavioral therapy when supporting students' social-emotional development.
