In this role, you'll provide individualized support and structured instruction in specialized classrooms, working closely with a collaborative team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification or licensure Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to provide toileting assistance as needed Strong teamwork and communication skills Comfort with supporting students who have a range of abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, goal-oriented lessons adapted for small group caseloads Supervise an elementary classroom (6 students) with mild behavioral needs and provide toileting assistance when required Oversee a middle school classroom (11 students); note one student requires tube feeding and some require toileting help Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, behavior technician, and 1:1 support staff present in both classrooms Maintain comprehensive records in line with IEPs and compliance requirements Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe environment for all learners
