Special Education Vocational Facilitator/Instructor Job Type:
Full-Time | 10-month
Location:
Rockingham County & Caswell County Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Make a Difference Beyond the Classroom Help high school students build the skills and confidence they need for what comes next. Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a Special Education Vocational Facilitator/Instructor to work with high school students with disabilities throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, this position helps students explore career opportunities, build workplace readiness and practical life skills, and prepare for greater independence after high school. What You'll Do Support and deliver career-readiness and life-skills instruction Work with students individually and in small-group or classroom settings Prepare and adapt lesson materials and hands-on activities Support student participation, skill development, and progress Maintain accurate program documentation and assist with required reporting Collaborate with school staff and other Pre-ETS team members Travel between assigned high schools throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County What You'll Bring Associate's or bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Experience teaching, training, or working with students or individuals with disabilities Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to engage students with different learning needs Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to travel between school sites throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County Ability to complete a background check and drug screening Physical Requirements Ability to lift 10-25 pounds Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day Benefits Paid holidays and paid time off Health, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Life insurance 403(b) retirement plan About Community Workforce Solutions For 60 years, Community Workforce Solutions has helped individuals with disabilities achieve greater independence through employment, education, and community inclusion.
