Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Twos Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of toddlers, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your expertise in early childhood education, combined with your ability to develop engaging curriculum and manage a dynamic classroom, will inspire young learners and support their growth during these formative years. As a Lead Twos Teacher, you will also collaborate closely with families to ensure each child's needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to toddlers' individual needs, incorporating curriculum development principles and early childhood education best practices. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and learning through play. Manage daily classroom activities, including routines such as circle time, snack time, outdoor play, and nap schedules while maintaining high standards of classroom management and behavior management. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Support children's literacy education and early intervention strategies to promote language skills and cognitive growth. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations by maintaining accurate records and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessments (including standardized testing where applicable), and professional development opportunities focused on childhood development instruction. Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; experience specifically with toddlers (ages 2-3) is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for early childhood education, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively through behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Knowledge of special education needs and experience implementing inclusive practices for children requiring additional support or early intervention services. Strong communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and documentation of child progress. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early intervention are advantageous. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience working within private school or daycare environments is beneficial. CDA is highly preferred. Join us in shaping the future by nurturing the curiosity and potential of our youngest learners! We are committed to creating an enriching environment where educators thrive while making a meaningful impact on children's lives through energetic teaching, thoughtful planning, and compassionate care.
