9674749-28761 Job Description Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary and middle school classrooms through a contract position for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers a rewarding chance to foster growth for students and collaborate with a supportive team. The position runs MondayFriday, 40 hours per week, from now through May 28, 2027.

Your assignment includes:

Teaching in a structured elementary classroom with a caseload of six students. These students require toileting assistance but have no feeding needs and minimal behavioral challenges. Classroom support features a teaching assistant and a behavior technician. Co-teaching in a middle school setting with 11 students. The majority have only mild behavioral needs and some require toileting assistance; one student has a feeding tube. The classroom team includes another teacher, three full-time teaching assistants, and a dedicated 1:1 assistant.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working as a Special Education Teacher within school settings. Appropriate state teaching licensure/certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain). Familiarity with IEP development and implementation. Comfort providing or overseeing toileting assistance. Ability to collaborate with teaching assistants and other support staff. Compassionate, student-centered approach.
