This full-time, contract position is located near Newton, NC, and spans the entire school year. You'll play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring students receive the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
Certified/licensed as a Special Education Teacher Experience working in a school setting, preferably with EC (Exceptional Children) students Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of learners with a range of disabilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Up-to-date knowledge of IDEA and best instructional practices in special education
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction aligned with the general curriculum for students with individualized education programs (IEPs) Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while tracking student progress Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff Create a positive, supportive learning atmosphere tailored to each student's strengths and areas for growth Organize and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all federal, state, and district regulations This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in students' lives and further your career in special education.
