Job Description

Make a lasting difference this school year in an engaging inclusion/resource position supporting students academic and personal growth. This in-person contract opportunity places a dedicated Special Education Teacher across both middle and high school levels. You'll have the unique chance to impact learners in various settings while collaborating with fellow educators passionate about student development.

Valid North Carolina Teaching License with proper endorsement for middle and/or high school Experience or strong interest in working within inclusion/resource environments A collaborative spirit and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families Flexibility to adapt lessons for varying abilities and personalized learning needs Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom culture Primary responsibilities: Deliver specially designed instruction and accommodations for students with exceptional needs Serve as a resource teacher within both middle and high school settings, working in partnership with general education staff Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Utilize data to refine instructional strategies and ensure student growth Maintain accurate records and progress reports as required Engage families and staff in supporting student success through regular communication and collaboration Position highlights: Contract runs ASAP through June 4th, 2027 for consistency and stability Full-time schedule (35 hours weekly), allowing for meaningful relationships with students Be a catalyst for positive change in supportive, inclusive classrooms Opportunity to broaden your professional skills by partnering with educators at both school levels Embark on a fulfilling journey where your expertise empowers students to thrive and succeed.
