Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current North Carolina Teaching License with certification for Middle and/or High School Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, especially in inclusion and resource classrooms Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver special education support services according to students IEPs in inclusion/resource settings Collaborate with general educators to adapt curricula and facilitate student participation Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, maintaining a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to planning for student success
