Special Ed Teacher

Key Qualifications:

Current licensure with onsite Exceptional Children teaching certification for North Carolina Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within an inclusion or ELA setting Strong knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and classroom management Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a passion for student-centered education

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and differentiated ELA instruction alongside general education classes for students with varied learning needs Develop and implement instructional plans based on individualized education programs (IEPs) Collaborate in IEP meetings and maintain ongoing documentation of student progress Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere Provide direct support to students, adapting materials and teaching techniques to maximize participation and progress

Position Details:

Full-time, 35 hours per week Contract runs ASAP through July 2, 2027, with no extended school year (ESY) requirement Caseload based within a collegiate academy Onsite role with a group of passionate educators This is an excellent opportunity to build meaningful relationships and help students achieve their full potential.
