This contract opportunity offers the chance to guide a small group of learners in an engaging, supportive setting. With a manageable caseload of just 7 students and in-classroom Instructional Assistant support, youll have the resources you need to provide individualized and impactful education. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours to accommodate planning periods, so you can deliver your best for your students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements must be met) Experience working with middle school students preferred Proven skills in developing and adapting curriculum to meet individual needs Strong collaboration abilities to work with Instructional Assistants and fellow educators Compassion, patience, and a commitment to fostering each students growth

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to a caseload of 7 students in grades 6-8 Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Coordinate with other staff and Instructional Assistant to support student learning Monitor and report on student progress, modifying plans as needed Participate in planning meetings and collaborate with families as appropriate Create a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment
