Job Description

Make a meaningful impact educating students with special needs in a contract Special Education teaching role, located near Troutman, NC. Two dedicated Exceptional Children's (EC) Teachers are needed: one specializing in self-contained settings and one for resource classrooms. Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility in North Carolina) Previous experience serving students with diverse exceptionalities, either in self-contained or resource settings Strong familiarity with IEP development and implementation Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to tailor instruction to individual education plans and learning styles Organization and documentation proficiency, ensuring compliance with educational regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students, modifying curriculum as needed per IEPs Implement behavior management strategies and intervention plans in classroom settings Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to optimize student learning and inclusion Track and report progress on educational and behavioral goals Participate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth
