In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and educational support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic, behavioral, and social success. Working under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to create inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive. Essential Responsibilities As a Special Education Teacher, you will: Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and needs Deliver specialized instruction and academic support to students across K-12 grade levels Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies in collaboration with general education teachers Provide individual, small-group, and classroom-based instruction Support students with behavioral, social, and academic challenges Monitor and document student progress while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and district regulations Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and achievement QualificationsRequired Valid state teaching certification that meets state and district requirements Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional practices, and compliance standards Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Preferred Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience Certification in one or more of the following areas: Elementary Education Secondary Education Special Education Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities Additional Requirements (If Applicable) Current CPR certification TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray) Current health certificate in accordance with state or district requirements Why Join Allied OneSource Education?
