School Based Special Education Teacher (K-12)

2026/2027 school year Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students across grades K-12. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and partnering closely with general education staff, families, and support teams to ensure student success. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide specialized instruction and academic support across K-12 grade levels Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instruction Deliver small group and one-on-one instruction , tutorial assistance, and behavioral support Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team planning Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred) Valid state teaching certification in accordance with state and district requirements One (1) year of prior teaching experience preferred Appropriate certification in one or more of the following areas (preferred): Standard Elementary Teaching Standard Secondary Teaching Standard Special Education Teaching Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred Strong understanding of special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Additional Requirements (if applicable) Current CPR certification TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray) Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements) Why Join Us?
