Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day supporting students as a full-time special education teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year! Elementary-level positions are available in both resource and extended classroom settings, providing the opportunity to work with students across a variety of needs. As a dedicated professional, you'll help foster an inclusive environment, collaborate with colleagues, and tailor instruction to students' unique abilities.
Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education teaching certification Experience in elementary-level classrooms or demonstrated interest working with young learners Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs Familiarity with resource room and/or extended setting instruction Strong communication and collaboration abilities Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently Flexibility and creativity in adapting teaching strategies
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instructional support to students individually or in small groups Develop, update, and manage IEPs in accordance with state guidelines Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and school support staff Monitor and assess students' progress towards goals Cultivate a positive, supportive learning atmosphere Participate in parent meetings, team planning, and professional development activities
