Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Teacher at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska ✨ Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the students. Pay :
Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of teaching experience who are hired to teach Special Education or hold Multi-Subject Credentials are eligible for a starting rate of $51,500. ( Please note that candidates with more experience and multi-subject credentials have a higher starting salary rate. ) The starting rate is $57,000 for those with a Master's degree and 1 year of teaching experience and who are hired to teach Special Education and/or Multi-Subject Credentials. ( Please note that candidates with more experience and multi-subject credentials have a higher starting rate. )

ROP-benefits-and-perks-2 What you will do: Serve as a member of the Education Department. Primarily responsible for implementing and adhering to the principles of Positive Organizational Culture and providing instructional services to students. Work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion, emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff, and program. To be considered, you should: Be at least 21 years of age; possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential (Credential in Special Education K-12 is a plus). Preferred multiple credentials in Math and Science.~ Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university ~ Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching~ Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17 ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Schedule:
Part-time 2-3 days per week, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (this schedule is open to those applying as a special education teacher) Full-time Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Uta Halee is a Nebraska Rule 13 (Exempt School). We follow OPS guidelines as closely as possible regarding school breaks and teacher planning days throughout the year. The school year runs from August to June. There is a 1-week break during the summer. Teachers get 20 days off for planning, not including PTO. Apply Today and Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth!
