Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students with autism. This full-time opportunity offers you the chance to make a significant impact within a dedicated school environment, guiding and advocating for a group of six students on your caseload. Your expertise and compassion are vital in fostering growth and confidence for these children.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with elementary students, preferably with autism Strong background in case management and IEP implementation Excellent organizational and communication abilities Collaborative mindset for working with colleagues, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction and interventions to meet each students unique learning needs Serve as a case manager for a caseload of six students, ensuring compliance with IEPs and coordinating related services Develop and adapt lesson plans, instructional materials, and behavioral supports Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training Youll enjoy working on a stable, full-time basis35 hours each weekwith a seasoned and collaborative school team invested in student success.
