Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding educational environment as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary and middle school students near Nashua, NH. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year and FSY (Extended School Year) sessions. Two positions are currently available, focusing on serving diverse learners within supportive school communities.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (NH certification preferred or eligibility to obtain) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field Prior experience working with elementary or middle school students in a special education setting is highly desirable Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a self-contained or inclusion setting Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and confidence Monitor student progress and respond with timely instructional adjustments Communicate regularly with families to support student learning and growth Enjoy the opportunity to contribute in vibrant elementary and middle school settings, working alongside passionate educators while advancing your expertise.
