9657313-03257 Job Description Make an impact across diverse learning environments as a contract special education teacher during the 2026-2027 school year. From September through June, youll collaborate with a supportive educational community to empower students of varying abilities in multiple school settings, including public, private, and charter schools. This is a full-time opportunity with 35-37.5 hours per week, giving you the chance to apply your expertise and adaptability as a traveling educator nurturing student achievement across the region.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Demonstrated experience working in special education, ideally within both inclusive and self-contained settings Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Flexibility and resourcefulness to serve students in a variety of school environments Ability to adapt instructional techniques to meet individual student needs Current knowledge of IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance practices

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with a range of abilities, ensuring alignment with IEPs and state standards Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators Travel between schools (public, private, charter) as required to provide comprehensive support and services Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation for compliance Communicate proactively with families to support student growth Advocate for inclusive practices within diverse educational settings Youll gain valuable experience working as an itinerant educator and broaden your expertise by engaging with different school cultures and communities.
