Job Overview 50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students from Pre-K through Grade 12 in a school-based setting in Newport, NH. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning, developmental, and behavioral needs while helping them achieve their academic, developmental, and IEP goals. Responsibilities Develop and implement instruction aligned with individual student IEP goals. Provide specialized instruction and academic support across PK-12 grade levels. Adapt curriculum, assignments, and instructional materials to meet individual student needs. Implement accommodations, modifications, and appropriate behavioral-support strategies. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the school team. Support students' academic, social-emotional, communication, and functional development. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families. Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Follow New Hampshire special education requirements and school policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification/license or eligibility to obtain one. Experience working with students from Pre-K through Grade 12 preferred. Knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction, accommodations, and progress monitoring. Strong classroom-management, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience supporting students with diverse disabilities and learning needs preferred.
