Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with students who have a variety of special needs, including behavioral, developmental, and learning disabilities Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, colleagues, and families Adaptability and creative problem-solving skills in classroom management and lesson design Familiarity with current best practices in special education instruction
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique goals Provide targeted instruction in individual or small group settings, adapting materials and strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusive classroom experiences Monitor student progress and maintain organized records, ensuring compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom climate that encourages growth and independence
