Job Description
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar role in a school setting Strong background working 1:1 with pediatric students, including those with special needs Familiarity with behavior management strategies and individualized instruction Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff Clear communication skills and a compassionate approach to student care High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certification preferredResponsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to an assigned student throughout the school day Assist with academic tasks, classroom routines, and social integration Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and special education staff Encourage student independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet individual student needs Participate in classroom activities, staff meetings, and training sessions as needed Working in this role, you'll be an integral part of an educational support team, making a real difference in students' lives while gaining valuable career experience in a school setting.
