Job Description

Step into a role where your expertise in special education truly makes a difference! An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students in a nurturing, inclusive school environment. This contract position runs from October 8th through the end of the school year, offering a fulfilling chance to work closely with both special education and general education colleagues. Your primary caseload will consist of no more than 8 students receiving special education services, all of whom are integrated with their peers (up to 20 students per class, currently 18). The focus is on science and math instruction within a co-teaching model. Youll be supporting learnerspredominantly with high-functioning autismin accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential, with no significant behavioral challenges anticipated.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey certifications: Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) plus either K-6, Math 6-9, or Science 6-9; or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Experience working within an inclusive or co-teaching model Proficiency with IEP management, preferably using the Real Time system Strong collaboration skills, especially with general education teachers Passion for supporting students with high-functioning autism
