Job Description

Special Education Teachers are invited to bring their expertise and compassion to a thriving school community near Newark, NJ, for the 20262027 academic year. With multiple full-time contract positions available, educators will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of students across various specialized programs. The school is committed to supporting every teacher through established classroom resources, dedicated paraprofessional staff, and a collaborative team environment. Available assignments span a range of grade levels and needs, including Autism (Levels 13), Moderate Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and Learning Disabilities (LD), all within self-contained classrooms designed to foster growth and learning. Support structures such as dedicated case managers for IEPs and the use of Frontline system ensure teachers can focus on instruction and individualized student support.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey Special Education certification (TOH or TOSD endorsement with primary certification) Endorsement must match assigned grade level/subject area Passion for inclusive, high-quality instruction for students with special needs Ability to collaborate with paraprofessional staff, behavior specialists, and case managers
Role Highlights:
