On-the-job training Team work atmosphere Opportunities to be creative Vets in Training is seeking a teacher who possesses a love of animals, learning, and science. The ideal candidate will be responsible for animal care, class preparation, and teaching in classes in various school districts and in our own Vets in Training Education Center. Teacher will be responsible for learning pre planned lessons as well as working with the team to develop new lessons and activities. Vets in Training teachers must be warm and caring as well as fun and engaging with the students. Must be able to provide proper animal care. Daily cleaning is often done as a team but occasionally done by an individual. Animal care includes daily cleaning of 20 cages, laundry, washing animal enrichment toys and dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be organized, have excellent communication and presentation skills, work well within a dynamic team and promote enthusiasm for learning subject matter in a safe, positive environment. Candidate must have a willingness to handle all animals at the Vets in Training Center, as well as drive the company vehicle to off-site classes. Past teacher experience and veterinary technician experience a plus, but not necessary. Must pass a criminal background check. We are hiring both a full time employee and a part time employee who may become full time as well by April, or choose to stay part time.
