Duties:

• Use the Bach to Rock curriculum to provide a safe and nurturing fun environment for children and adults to learn and grow.
• Provide piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
• Implement the Bach to Rock curriculum to plan lessons based on students' goals and abilities while tailoring the lesson your way for fun
• Teach music theory, sight-reading, and proper technique
• Foster a positive, fun and supportive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance to students, parents and managers
• Prepare students for recitals, competition and showcase as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Experienced performer (either solo or group) prefered
• Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians-Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
• Light cleaning

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in playing the Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute.
• Previous experience teaching woodwind lessons and some piano is preferred
• Knowledge of music theory and ability to teach sight-reading
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and the ability to work with students of different ages and skill levels
• Classroom management skills to maintain a fun, productive learning environment
• Ability to educate and inspire students in their musical journey while having fun
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback and guidance
• Prepare students for recitals, competition and showcase as needed
• Assist with community events

Note:

Experience or knowledge in special education, tutoring, early childhood education, childhood development, or behavior management may be beneficial but not required for this position.
