The role is located onsite and is ideal for dedicated educators passionate about special education and mathematics.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education required Completed coursework or credits in Math is essential Alternatively, Teacher of the Handicapped with mathematics credits considered Prior experience teaching special education students preferred Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs Commitment to upholding the highest standards of teaching and student care
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging math instruction to students receiving special education services Create individualized lesson plans tailored to IEP goals and academic levels Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by compliance guidelines Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere focused on student growth Participate fully in school meetings, trainings, and professional development throughout the academic year Work proactively to address challenges and provide positive behavior supports This contract position begins September 1, 2026, and runs through June 24, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week.
