In this role, you'll work with a dedicated group of learners, providing specialized math instruction and tailored educational plans. Your expertise will empower students to achieve academic success and personal growth throughout the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification and credits in Mathematics Alternatively, a Teacher of the Handicapped certification with Math credits Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly preferred Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills Commitment to fostering a collaborative and positive learning environment Ability to develop differentiated lesson plans and instructional strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction to students with diverse learning needs Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the student support team Adapt lessons and assessments to accommodate various learning styles and abilities Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings Maintain accurate records and uphold all necessary compliance requirements
