Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Special Education Math Teacher on a contract assignment during the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite role is located near South Amboy, NJ and offers the opportunity to help learners thrive both academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education certification Completed math credits, OR possession of Teacher of the Handicapped certification with math credits Experience working with students with diverse learning needs Strong communication and classroom management skills Passion for fostering growth and inclusion in educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging math lessons tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) Develop strategies and supports to help students access the curriculum and achieve their goals Collaborate with general education teachers and fellow staff to coordinate services for students Monitor student progress, adjust instruction as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school events as required Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence
Assignment Details:
Contract assignment running from September 1, 2026, through June 24, 2027 35 hours per week, onsite only Work with a dedicated caseload and play a pivotal role in student development This position offers the chance to advance your career while making a difference in the lives of extraordinary students.
