Preferred qualifications and experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience teaching at the high school level preferred Background or strong interest in teaching math is highly desirable Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials to meet students diverse needs Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere Role responsibilities include: Delivering individualized and group instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs Developing and implementing effective lesson plans, particularly for math Collaborating with general education teachers and other specialists to support academic and behavioral goals Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary Participating in IEP meetings, assessment planning, and parent communications Maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines for special education For those passionate about special education, this position offers the opportunity to create meaningful classroom experiences and see the positive results of your dedication.
