Travel Pharmacist — Taos, NM (IHS Taos-Picuris Service Unit)

Contract Length:
13 weeks, extendable up to 1 year
Start Date:
Approx. 4-6 weeks from selection (pending credentialing/background clearance) Pay Package Taxable hourly rate: $44.00/hr Overtime rate (1.5x, over 40 hrs/wk): $66.00/hr Weekly per diem (non-taxed): $1,414.00 Blended rate: $79.35/hr Weekly gross pay package: $3,174.00 One-time travel stipend: $500.00 (paid once) Position Highlights Direct outpatient pharmacy services at a full-scope ambulatory clinic serving the Taos-Picuris community: prescription interpretation and dispensing, medication counseling, inventory/controlled-substance recordkeeping, and patient medication profile review. OT is based on patient load and historically limited (contract caps it around 48 hrs/year). Requirements Active pharmacist license (any U.S. state/territory) BSPharm or PharmD from an accredited program 3 professional references + current resume Immunization records (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Influenza, Tdap) and TB screening within 12 months Physical exam within the last 12 months Must pass federal background/character investigation (fingerprinting, OPM eQIP) — required before start Comfortable working with multicultural patient population; interpreter use as needed Facility Notes Government-furnished workstation, phone, and PIV card (issued after 120 days). Contractor provides own lab coat/uniform per IHS standards. Non-personal services contract — independent contractor status.
Pay:
$70.00 - $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
