What You'll Need:

Valid state certification to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents with hearing impairments in an educational setting Strong understanding of assistive technologies and strategies for accessible instruction Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers and related service providers Excellent communication and advocacy skills Adaptability and problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, both inside and outside of the classroom Create, modify, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports language development, communication, and academic excellence Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student transition, progress, and achievement Maintain thorough documentation and communicate regularly regarding student progress and needs Stay informed on current best practices and updates in the field of Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
