This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated professional passionate about fostering communication and academic growth for learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. You'll play a vital role for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students' unique needs and building lasting relationships in a collaborative, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Demonstrated experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong understanding of auditory/oral, cued speech, and total communication approaches Ability to assess and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff Flexibility and adaptability within changing classroom and caseload environments Commitment to student advocacy and inclusive practices
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in classroom or small group settings Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure meaningful access to instruction Develop, monitor, and adjust IEP goals and accommodations as required Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and program compliance standards Foster a welcoming, accessible, and engaging classroom atmosphere where all students can thrive In this role, you'll make a tangible difference, helping students achieve developmental milestones, social growth, and academic success.
