Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification. Prior experience working with medically fragile or high-needs students preferred. Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in a 1:1 setting. Familiarity with IEP goals and adapting curriculum to meet individual needs. Excellent communication skills with both students and support staff. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 instructional support to a 7-year-old student in a nursing home for 2-3 hours daily. Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure safety and comfort. Adapt lesson plans to accommodate the students medical needs and stamina. Track and document student progress according to IEP requirements. Maintain an encouraging and supportive learning environment. Communicate regularly with family members and other professionals as needed.
