Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aftercare Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours, supporting their social, emotional, and developmental needs. Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical development Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Coordinate with parents, staff, and other caregivers to communicate children's progress and needs Lead youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in youth supervision Additional certifications in special education or youth programs are a plus Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment Experience facilitating outdoor work activities or camp experiences preferred Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Demonstrated ability to lead team-based activities and foster teamwork among children and staff Join us as an Aftercare Teacher to inspire young minds while ensuring their safety and happiness!
