This is a specialized educational setting supporting students with significant developmental, academic, communication, and behavioral needs. Active NYS K12 Special Education certification required What You'll Be Doing In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction while working closely with the team to address each student's academic, developmental, communication, and behavioral goals.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering instruction aligned with individual IEP goals Developing and adapting lessons based on individual student needs Monitoring and documenting measurable student progress Supporting students with developmental, behavioral, and communication needs Reinforcing therapy and behavioral goals within the classroom Collaborating with teacher assistants, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Implementing classroom and behavior support strategies Creating a consistent, structured environment where students can build academic and functional skills Participating as an active member of a multidisciplinary educational team What We're Looking For Active NYS K12 Special Education certification Experience working with students with developmental, academic, and/or behavioral needs Comfort working in a structured, self-contained setting Strong classroom management and communication skills A collaborative approach to working with paraprofessionals and related service providers Commitment to individualized instruction and measurable student growth Experience with students who have autism or other developmental disabilities is highly relevant to this setting.
