An excellent opportunity awaits to work onsite in an ED classroom for 11th and 12th-grade students, covering an assignment of up to 12 weeks. Qualifications & Experience:

Valid New York State Teaching License with high school endorsement Certification required for teaching in an ED classroom setting Experience supporting high school students with emotional or behavioral needs strongly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate openly with colleagues and students Flexibility to serve as either a Teachers Assistant or long-term substitute as needed

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, inclusive instruction to students in an ED classroom Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs Monitor and document student progress, implementing behavioral or academic interventions as appropriate Work onsite only, ensuring direct student support and a collaborative presence with school staff Assist in implementing IEP goals and accommodations
