Key Qualifications:
Valid New York State Teaching License with a high school endorsement Certification required for an ED (Emotional Disabilities) classroom setting Previous experience in Special Education, preferably in a high school environment Ability to manage and support students in an ED classroom Commitment to onsite work throughout the contract duration Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
Teach and support high school students with emotional disabilities in a structured classroom environment Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with fellow educators, families, and staff Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth Utilize specialized instructional techniques tailored to students' needs Maintain documentation and track student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the team
Additional Details:
