Key Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility in New York State Proven experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a school setting Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and accommodations for varying communication needs Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams Competence with American Sign Language (ASL), Cued Speech, or other modes of communication Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Flexibility and a student-centered mindset
