9642954-14892 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity to support high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic educational environment. This onsite position covers an 11th/12th grade ED classroom in the Bath/Hornell, NY area for approximately 12 weeks, beginning in early September. Take on a key role as either a long-term substitute or a Teachers Assistant, ensuring continuity and quality instruction for students who benefit from dedicated educational support.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid New York State Teaching License with high school endorsement Required certifications for an ED (Emotionally Disturbed) classroom setting Classroom experience at the high school level strongly preferred Adaptability and positive attitude for covering in a substitute or assistant capacity Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and differentiated instruction to 11th and 12th grade students in an ED classroom Foster an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere Implement lesson plans, monitor student progress, and manage classroom behavior Collaborate with classroom assistants and support staff to ensure student needs are met Maintain accurate records and uphold all compliance requirements
