Job Description The West Valley Central School District is seeking a passionate, student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. We are looking for an educator who believes every student can succeed when provided with high expectations, individualized support, and meaningful learning opportunities. As a small rural district, West Valley offers a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with students and families, collaborate across grade levels, and make a lasting impact on our school community. Responsibilities Include Provide specially designed instruction in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations. Utilize assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Foster an inclusive classroom culture built on high expectations, respect, and student engagement. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with New York State and federal special education regulations. Participate in CSE meetings, faculty meetings, professional learning, and school initiatives. Support the district's vision of preparing students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
